Dominant Extroverted Feeling (Fe): Molly is all about family, and she always tries her best to keep hers together. She arranges vacations to visit her sons who live abroad, and she takes it very hard when Percy cuts ties with everyone else. Her worst fear is losing loved ones, rather than suffering some misfortune herself. When she sees Harry by himself, Molly is immediately sensitive to what she thinks he must need (she forbids her children from staring at him like some mythical creature), and she all but adopts him into her family. Molly puts a lot of stock in social standing; she is glad when her husband gets a promotion to a big job that takes him away from his own passion, and she wants her children to have successful careers as well. Molly is openly emotional, and she will always make her feelings abundantly clear.

Really, any type could try to pose as an INTJ, and could probably convince themselves they were an INTJ if they ignored the evidence well enough. The gal who writes funkymbtifiction did this for years (and then moved on to consecutively convince herself that she was every other type as well). Continue reading

Extroverted Feeling (Fe): C-3PO is a protocol droid, programmed for politeness and manners. He is able to make a difference mainly by persuasion, convincing Owen Lars to buy him and misdirecting Imperial troops who are searching for his masters. C-3PO is exceedingly temperamental; he bickers constantly with R2-D2, and he freely expresses his fear in dangerous situations. C-3PO can fit into the culture of any society in which he happens to find himself, even if he has to figure out the language and customs on the fly (Ne). Continue reading

Extroverted Feeling (Fe): As the Minister of Magic, Fudge is sensitive to public opinion above all else. He makes every decision with regard to how the magical community will view him for it, and is willing to throw everything else – facts, laws, rational predictions, sound objectives, etc. – out the window just for the sake of keeping everybody happy. He is even willing to send an innocent person (Hagrid) to prison just so the wizarding world can see him doing something, anything, to respond to a crisis. A telling illustration of Fudge’s reliance on public opinion is how he treats Harry as time goes on. When the wizarding world regards Harry as a hero, Fudge refrains from punishing him for any lawbreaking, and dotes on him in an avuncular way. However, when Harry falls into disrepute, Fudge is eager to see him punished, and to personally get involved in punishing him, even when he has done nothing wrong. Fudge wears his heart on his sleeve, and excuses Harry from punishment on one occasion with the excuse that Harry just let his emotions get the better of him. Continue reading

Extroverted Feeling (Fe): Fleur is primarily concerned with her social image. When eating at Hogwarts, she is worried that she will gain weight and not fit into her dress robes. She wants a socially acceptable date for the Yule Ball; not only does she try to get Cedric to ask her to the ball, but she is highly offended when Ron asks her out. When she gets married, she has an enormous wedding with all her friends and family in attendance. Fleur is very attractive, and shamelessly uses her charm and good looks to get what she wants, whether a date or just a favor. Fleur is deeply affected by her inability to rescue her sister for the second Triwizard Task (insisting that she deserves no points), and she warms up to Harry and Ron when they rescue her sister instead. Gineasll asked: You once said that you hate your xNTP professors because they have all the opposite functions of an INTJ? Could you go into more detail on how that plays out? Are there any other types you hate as professors?

I love you! ….distantly, and without emotional investment…Hold on, let me revise that: I love you theoretically!
I have nothing against xNTPs as people. In fact, I love my xNTP friends, but yes, I hate them as teachers. I hate xSFJ teachers equally well (same functions as the xNTP).
Here’s why. Continue reading

Fe: Early on, Cameron is easily compromised by her emotions. She attaches herself emotionally to people, and this often ends up interfering with her work. When she’s mad at someone (or she loves someone), her objectivity us compromised. Cameron has a hard time understanding why other people’s (Fi people’s) sense of morality is different than hers. She expects that there is a universal standard of morality that applies these same Continue reading
Dominant Extraverted Feeling (Fe): Prim loves to help others even as a little girl. She acts as a nurse and rescues animals. She adjusts her behaviour to make other people comfortable has a strong influence over other people’s feelings. She has a natural understanding of social graces and often has prime advice Continue reading

Fe: Alfred is the one person who never ever ever gives up on Bruce. He’s aware of other people’s feelings, but not always able to express his own. He’s able to motivate Bruce when he’s at his lowest points, but also has the tendency to give advice where it isn’t needed or wanted. He would rather hide an unpleasant truth (such as an I-found- Continue reading

Fe: Menenius acts as a father figure to Cauis Marcius, trying despite the seeming impossibility of the task, to help Coriolanus learn the social skills that he lacks. Menenius devotes himself entirely to the things that are important to him –volunteering, maintaining the peace and helping his friends. Though his good intentions are broad, his loyalties are few. Continue reading

Dominant Fe: Danielle is quick to express her opinions and does so very fervently. Though she often talks in what she believes to be facts, everything she says is somehow connected to her emotions. She immediately punishes Henry for stealing her father’s horse, because the animal holds strong emotional connotations with her past experiences. She usually considers others before herself and is willing to put herself in dangerous illegal Continue reading

Dominant Fe: Bilbo, despite the fact that he doesn’t want the dwarves in his house, is reluctant to send them away. Notwithstanding his dislike for the idea of adventuring, he still decides to help the dwarves out with their quest. He carefully thinks before speaking because he doesn’t want to offend others and finds it easy to adapt his behavior to suit the needs of people/creatures very different from himself. This comes in very handy when Continue reading
