Pokemon Anime Franchise

Introverted Sensing (Si): Delia seems satisfied in her role as a conventional mother in a small town, tending the garden, cleaning the place, and cooking for her son and his friends when he’s home.  She sometimes compares Ash to his father at whatever point he is at in his journey; she is impressed that Ash reached Viridian City in only one day, while it had taken his father four days!  When Delia watches Ash compete in Pokemon Leagues, she brings along a camera, hoping to record his battles for posterity.  When she catches Ash staying up late the night before he is due to begin his journey, she allows him to stay up, but only if he watches an educational program to inform his choice of a Pokemon the following morning.

Extroverted Feeling (Fe): Delia is completely open with her feelings, and often smothers Ash with her emotions.  Her displays of emotion often come to the chagrin of her son (who has a strong Fi).  She is hospitable with every friend Ash brings home with him, letting them all stay as long as they like, and she even adopts a wild Mr. Mime who wandered into her house by mistake.  Delia is well-liked by everyone in Pallet Town, having numerous friendships with the women of the town, as well as with Professor Oak.

Introverted Thinking (Ti): When Ash is excited to leave on a journey, it is Delia who figures out the logistics for his journey, even taking the liberty of packing Ash’s bag before he leaves home for the first time.  She also reminds him, in a loving but teasing way, to change his underwear every day whenever he is about to leave.  (Whether Ash actually takes her advice or uses everything she packs him is unknown.)  She isn’t overly concerned with Ash’s results in any given competition, but is very interested in hearing Professor Oak’s explanations of why a battle is going the way it is.

Extroverted Intuition (Ne): Delia is the quintessential mom – and that includes plenty of worrying about her son.  Whenever Ash is late for an important appointment, Delia gets nervous.  She thinks of everything that could be wrong with Ash when he’s upset over anything.  During a global weather anomaly that threatens to wipe out life on the whole planet, Delia’s only thoughts are for Ash, whose travels brought him right to the source of the disturbance.  Delia suspects that Ash may leave home again right after returning from Unova (based on her previous experience), so she sews him a new set of clothes before he gets back, just in case (Si-Ne).
