  1. Can you provide a short explanation that describes ISTP humor or Ti/Se humor in general? I can see why the joke was funny but I personally would have spoke as follows: “We had a spare supply of oxygen in the back, his name was Jim, and uh…” or something along those lines.

    I think the difference lies in the more blunt, practical nature of an upper Se function whereas mine relies more on providing immediate information before connecting it to another piece of data that otherwise would not have revealed anything.


  2. Oh my g–, this is so great. BTW, possibly the greatest example of my own (ISTP) humor is when someone had up a picture of Assassin’s Creed – the Leap of Faith, specifically – and I was like, “Oh look, light aerobics!”

  3. You know, I don’t think I can name a single ISTP–at least, that I know of–among my circle of close acquaintances. Which is funny, since it’s not like they’re a rare type or something. I can name an INFJ, an ISTJ, a (probable) ESTJ, an ENTP, a whole host of xNFPs . . . but no ISTPs.
