Leonard Hofstadter: ISFJ

The Big Bang Theory

Dominant Introverted Sensing (Si): Leonard can either get very nostalgic about his past experiences (such as making quality comparisons about the present environment with the past regarding his hobbies) or be extremely disgusted by them (as his mother treatment towards him). In both cases, however, they dictate his decisions: although he is less whiny than Sheldon about changes, he still feels better in a same pace middle-class life and is unwilling to change that. Because his mother neglected his feelings, he uses that memory in many humorous situations in the present, albeit becoming sensitive in the process.

Auxiliary Extroverted Feeling (Fe):
Leonard is a feeler. That shows up when, unlike Sheldon, he is not above expressing his feelings or the desire to be romantically engaged and is more comprehensive than his former roommate. He is very perceptive about how people are feeling, which is why he was capable of softening hard situations that Sheldon created with many people they came across. This set of traits likely developed due to the lack of love that Leonard’s mother gave to him in childhood (Si-Fe “database”).

Tertiary Introverted Thinking (Ti):  As shown many times in the series, Leonard was quite studious and, although not as smart as Sheldon, he still manages to work with his mind in various situations and catalogue information within his range of interest.

Inferior Extroverted Intuition (Ne): Leonard can be very witty and sharp-tongued when making comparisons about his friends (this can be for the comic effect, though). However, he doesn’t use this skill much, preferring to let his friends create new scenarios rather than himself.
