Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu

Dominant Introverted Thinking (Ti): His logic comes from what he thinks inside, and the decisions and facts he comes up with are usually the kind that look good on paper but fail to work in practice. Jay is not naïve either, and is quite sceptical of Nadakhan’s motives when he first appears. He knows not to trust people, as a rule, and loves to find out that he was right. Jay doesn’t let other people tell him what to think, and has a very set mind that is always buzzing with ideas. Despite the fact that he is almost always talking, he rarely voices his actual thoughts and prefers to break apart and mock things that others have said.

Auxiliary Extroverted Sensing (Se): Jay is shown to be hyperactive and very sociable, enjoying everything as it happens. A very hands-on learner, Jay enjoys interacting with things around him; he’s constantly building new machines to help him become a better ninja. He likes to make his decisions quickly and effectively, and makes them without seeking any permission, a trait that can often be perceived as arrogance, but in Jay it seems to be a constant drive in him to help and protect others. Jay is the kind of person who would usually jump headfirst into whatever pleases him, but when faced with real danger, he isn’t overly phased, and manages to keep calm.

Tertiary Introverted Intuition (Ni): When he set himself to a problem, there was nothing that would sway him at all. This is evident in Skybound, when he becomes the voice of reason, telling people to conserve their wishes before Nadakhan makes them “wish it all away”; he was able to see through Nadakhan’s manipulation and managed to keep his cool. He removes potential problems from the equations and focuses on his ideals and goals as pure possibilities. As such, he is incredibly innovative and often manages to create very out-of-the-box methods to get himself out of danger.

Inferior Extroverted Feeling (Fe): Despite being Jay’s inferior function and therefore not being used in excess, Jay’s Fe is seen in use the most during the end of Rebooted, the beginning of Tournament, and the whole of Skybound. Jay is shown to be the most sensitive of the ninja by far. He’s very independent, but isn’t an immense individualist, and seems to adopt the behaviour of the people around him to fit in (i.e. after Zane’s death, becoming a talent show host but dealing with depression off-camera). While Jay usually keeps his head on in tough situations, Jay can become stressed and overwhelmed by his emotions, which leads to him crashing and losing it.
