Zane Julien: INFJ

Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu

Dominant Introverted Intuition (Ni): Zane’s main cognitive function allows him to analyse and interpret his surroundings. He can come up with intelligent, out-of-the-box ideas that can surprise everyone. Although he seems ignorant of human nature, he understands each and every one of the ninjas in more ways than they could ever imagine. Zane also has a narrow mindset that allows him to focus intently on his goal of becoming a great ninja. However, his relentless focus on improving himself and helping people makes him forget himself, and can often lead to putting himself in danger.

Auxiliary Extroverted Feeling (Fe): Being the Nindroid that he is, many people would have thought that Zane would be an INTJ, but his sensitivity towards emotions marks him as a more avid user of Fe. Though he rarely takes offence when people comment on his abnormalities, he is shown to be insecure about his past and broods on his life often. Furthermore, he seems to be more in tune with others’ emotions than he is with his own.

Tertiary Introverted Thinking (Ti): An INFJ rarely speaks out their emotions, the Ti making them keep their emotions on the inside. Zane uses any facts he has to back up his conclusions about people that he makes about people using his NiSe combo, but will be more likely to trust his gut than use the small, insufficient ounces of logic he acquires. Using his Ti, Zane can over-analyse his future and dwell on it, which is a relatively unhealthy trait that Zane has, seeing as he practically planned a future with Pixal the second he met her. Furthermore, the NiTi combo makes Zane a budding scientist-type person, who can be purely calculating and logical when need be, but the logic he gets is usually primarily analysed, and while good on paper, it does not always work.

Inferior Extroverted Sensing (Se): Zane is remarkably aware of his surroundings, and takes advantage of the subtle hints that others give him. Zane also takes every experience he can get, and though he remains quiet, he enjoys the fun in the moment. He notices when something is out of place, and seems to pick up cues from others quickly and effectively. Furthermore, he is very in tune with the nature around him and loves to interact with the animals around him. Zane also finds it easy to zone out when focusing on a problem, often coming across as reserved and solitary when in this state.
